Mr. Eyitayo Jegede has to make a very tough decision too. And if he is not careful enough, his decision may mar him as he has to carefully look before he leaps. He will have to announce his deputy governorship candidate for the Ondo State election. And his choice will determine his success or failure in the election.

Some people have been calling on Jegede to use Mr. Agboola Ajayi as his deputy governorship candidate. Actually, using Mr. Ajayi will be the chance of the PDP candidate in the election. Mr. Ajayi, who is the incumbent deputy governor to Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, has much influence within and outside the People's Democratic Party.

He can team up with Mr. Eyitayo Jegede to beat the All Progresives Congress and its candidate, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu. Of course, Mr. Ajayi has shown how strong he is. The state governor has failed to see to Ajayi's impeachment. And Ajayi was able to get over 600 votes in the PDP primary election.

But there may be dangers ahead if Mr. Jegede chooses Agboola Ajayi. Mr. Ajayi has shown himself to be a politician that can't be trusted at all. He left the PDP in 2016 only for him to return four years later. When he left, the PDP wasn't the same. The party lost the governorship election.

If Mr. Agboola Ajayi were there to assist both Eyitayo Jegede and the PDP, the 2016 governorship election might not go the way it went. So, Eyitayo Jegede has to consider this factor.

From another point of view, Mr. Agboola Ajayi joined the PDP so he could contest for the governor's seat at Alagbaka House, Akure. His ambition isn't to become a deputy governor for another four years. He actually wants to rule Ondo State.

Mr. Ajayi has been a deputy governor for almost four years now. He wouldn't want to be on the same spot for four more years. He understands his ambition and he fixes his focus on it.

If Eyitayo Jegede makes Agboola Ajayi his deputy, Mr. Jegede should expect the current event to happen again. Mr. Agboola Ajayi left the APC and fought Akeredolu because of how own (Ajayi's) personal ambition.
